How Pruvanta uses cookies.

This Cookie Policy explains how The Prudential Bank, trading as Pruvanta, uses cookies and similar technologies on Pruvanta websites and digital services. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Section 01

What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files or similar identifiers placed on or read from a browser or device when you visit a website. They can help a website operate, maintain a secure session, remember preferences or understand how visitors use the service.

Similar technologies may include local storage, software development kits, pixels, tags, device identifiers and server-side event or log information. In this Policy, we refer to these technologies collectively as “cookies” unless the context requires otherwise.

Section 02

Why Pruvanta may use cookies

We may use cookies to:

  • operate the Site and provide features you request;

  • authenticate sessions and protect accounts and forms;

  • detect suspicious activity, abuse, bots and fraud;

  • remember choices and interface preferences;

  • understand traffic, page performance and how visitors navigate the Site;

  • diagnose errors and improve functionality;

  • measure the effectiveness of communications or campaigns; and

  • where permitted and appropriately disclosed, provide or measure relevant marketing.

The Site does not currently use analytics or marketing cookies. If we introduce them, we will update this table and ask for your consent before they are set where the law requires it.

Section 05

Third-party cookies and technologies

Some Site functions may be provided by third parties, such as hosting, security, analytics, customer-support, communications, embedded content or other technology providers. These providers may set or receive cookies or similar information when their technology is used.

Any third-party cookies set on the Site are listed in Section 04. Before we add a provider that sets non-essential cookies, we will update this Policy and, where required, ask for your consent through the cookie banner.

Section 06

Managing your cookie choices

When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner lets you accept only strictly necessary cookies, accept all cookies, or manage your preferences by category. Non-essential cookies are not set until you make a choice that allows them. You can change your choices at any time through the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of each page.

You can also manage or delete cookies using your browser or device settings. Browser controls differ by provider and may allow you to block all cookies, block third-party cookies, delete stored cookies or receive a notification before a cookie is set.

Blocking cookies can affect functionality.

If you disable strictly necessary cookies or storage technologies, security, authentication, forms or other parts of the Site may not work correctly.

Section 07

Do Not Track and similar browser signals

Browsers and devices may provide signals or privacy preferences concerning tracking. Industry standards and legal requirements for responding to these signals can vary by jurisdiction and evolve over time.

Pruvanta will respond to recognised browser or device privacy signals as required by applicable law.

Section 08

How long cookies remain

Some cookies are session cookies and expire when you close your browser. Others are persistent cookies and may remain for a defined period or until deleted.

The duration of a cookie depends on its purpose and provider. Strictly necessary security or session technologies may have short lifetimes, while preference or measurement cookies may persist longer. The expiry of each cookie we use is shown in Section 04.

Section 09

Cookies and personal information

Information generated through cookies may include IP address, browser and device information, identifiers, page views, timestamps, referring pages, approximate location, session or security events and interaction information.

Where this information constitutes personal information, we process it as described in the Pruvanta Privacy Policy. Cookies used for security, fraud prevention or authenticated financial services may also be associated with an account or application where appropriate.

Section 10

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our website, technologies, service providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on the Site with an updated date.

Where we make material changes to our use of non-essential cookies, we will also update the cookie banner and, where required, ask for your consent again.
